Having a smoothie for breakfast can be a great way to start the day. When you blending up fresh produce it provides your body with a myriad of nutrients that you may not otherwise get throughout the day. With the right blend of ingredients, a smoothie can be a nutritional powerhouse—full of antioxidants, minerals, vitamins, and protein like this green monster.

Ingredients:
1 green apple, cored, cut into large chunks
1 to 2 handfuls of spinach
1/4 large cucumber, peeled, cut into large chunks
1 kiwi, peeled and cut into chunks
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1 cup low-fat milk
2 teaspoons honey
1 cup ice cubes
Directions:
Add all ingredients into a blender. Pulse until thoroughly blended. Pour into cups and serve.
